The HAWKmedical is a compact laser workstation for the permanent marking of medical instruments, implant components and precision parts. Designed for medical device manufacturers and their production partners, the system combines high-contrast marking with repeatable processes and a flexible workstation platform.
Whether applying UDI markings, DataMatrix codes, serial numbers, batch information or company logos, the HAWKmedical enables clear product identification and traceability. Black marking produces deep-black, high-contrast marks with minimal heat input, particularly on stainless steel and titanium. Marking parameters are tailored to the material, surface condition and specific requirements for readability, cleaning, passivation and sterilisation. This provides the basis for marking processes that can be validated for each application.
Optional multi-axis systems, rotary axes for circumferential marking, camera recognition and rotary tables allow the HAWKmedical to accommodate different component geometries and production workflows. The electrically operated lifting door facilitates loading and unloading, while a large laser safety window allows operators to observe the marking process.
For automated series production, the HAWKmedical can be integrated inline into existing or new production lines via a conveyor belt.
Automated workpiece feeding and unloading connects laser marking with upstream machining operations and downstream inspection processes. Marking becomes an integrated production step between machining, quality control and dispatch – from individual surgical instruments to series production of medical turned and milled components.
